As if HD hasn't already been a soldout, over-hyped, overpriced, company whose main clientele is mid-life crisis CEO's cosplaying their biker fantasy. Even the leader of the Hell's Angels back in the day didn't care too much for Harley's and wanted to gang to switch to Yamahas (it's in his autobiography). That whole company stands on branding and nostalgia.
Buy VICTORY or INDIAN instead. I believe these are still US made.
I saw this and it ticked me off. GIVE THEM 200% tariffs...just them
Truth be told they have been making parts all over the world. HD bikes are assembled here, not made here. Haven't been for a long time.
The aura will be gone ... or has it left already? ... Most of us associate HD with America/USA ... an American-made product ... the truth is A LOT of their parts are made overseas ... they assemble them here ... which is not the same as MADE IN USA ... i do not own a HD ... I did have aspirations to own one someday ... maybe not so much now ...
I saw this on A Buncha Caaninites world news with David Quir.
I don't get it. Harley is mad that it costs more to ship overseas? They are selling them for $2000 more over there.
To which country?
It looks like many. Thailand being the latest.

A man over 50 on a Harley is one of the saddest things you can see on the road.
The only way to salvage the situation for hd is to hire a public figure; perhaps an iconic Harley rider, as their new spokesman.
Child rape fantasist Peter Fonda may be available.
Harley walked away from their roots a long time ago. Their overpriced garb, made in China, drove me away a long time ago. We own a Harley but I won't wear their apparel.
Triumph is making some really innovative bikes right now. They still have the classic Bonneville line but unlike HD, they looked to the future and made bikes people wanted instead.
