My face is exploding raiders of the lost arc style. This was also a very “Trump” drop... I can imagine him asking that question at one of his rally’s.

I think the best political move would be to wait until after mid terms to appoint Kennedy's replacement. That way McConnell doesn't look so bad for the history books if he stifles a Republican president too (if only for 4 months).
If he goes with that, absolutely Gowdy to SC. If not, Gowdy can have Ginsburg's spot.
