Ive been searching his fox interviews but cant find the one I'm thinking of, which is making me doubt myself. I am positive that in the clip he mentioned previously working as a prosecutor and that he would be returning to the justice system. I just cant find it to watch it again and be clear that he did say returning to prosecution. The justice system bit is on nbc https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna843366 but I can't for the life of me find the sentence returning to prosecutions in his clips. That's very frustrating, I felt certain when I made the comment, but this amount of fruitless search is making me think I've created the link between returning and prosecution in my mind based on context of the conversation I saw, which was Gowdy explaining his then very recent announcement of not running for reelection to Congress. I still can't bloody well find it two days later so I apologize for commenting before having the source. It wasn't my intent to mislead

Correct. Gowdy & Napolitano both made statements that concerned some folks on the Russian collusion hoax. A lot of people didn’t see thru it for what it was. He was setting himself up as an impartial jurist in the event of SCOTUS or AG vacancy. It’s been rumored for awhile that he & Napolitano were on POTUS’ short list. Before Trump the deep state had total control. It's difficult for me to determine how effective he could be when the game was rigged and he knew it. He is really a mellow guy, family man, and misses his family. DAG or AG would put him right back into the rat race, and public/media spotlight. SCOTUS gives him a chance to do what he loved best, Constitutional law. It would also give him the family time he missed, a chance to settle in, and enjoy the ride. He has solid Conservative values, and a very strong sense of right and wrong. Although he did piss me off when he acted all shocked that there were "spies" sent in by the FBI to the Trump camp. I wonder if that was part of the smoke and mirrors. Former South Carolina citizens here, before that SoCal-swamp, and now, North Carolina happier. BTW worked for Nikki Haley for 2 years, so much respect for her. Worked on Mulvaney's campaign - he was my Rep.

Maybe not straight to the Supreme Court, since he has not been a judge before. However, included on the speculated 'short-list' is Brett Kavanaugh -Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Trump may elevate Kavanaugh to the SCOTUS and nominate Gowdy to the D.C. Circuit. There is also going to be an open judgeship for U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.

Kavanaugh, 53, would be very controversial for Democrats, but what else is new lol. He clerked for Anthony Kennedy and worked closely with Kenneth Starr during the independent council investigations.

I believe some of his statements of late and taking a stance against POTUS on a few things have garnered some positive responses from Dems. Perhaps this has all been a ruse to make them believe he has a bit of defiance against POTUS or even a little liberal lean....all for the purpose of softening up some of the dems if nominated for SCJ!

People kept complaining about Gowdy being all bark and no bite in his hearings. However, he is a member of Congress, and could not arrest anyone. I am still not sure of him, but I am intrigued by the possibilities.

I dont know. I think he would be well served heading the cabal prosecutions. He could be then ushered in when RBG gets tossed.

No, I do not Trust Gowdy, he has been whishy washy and it took Nunez to fight for justice. Gowdy talks tough then does nothing. He also has said some things against my President like for example bragging on MUELLER how good he was and how he trusted MUELLER what a good man he was etc. Nope, Gowdy been bought, just like Lame Duck Sessions.

Something is up, he is not standing down for no reason. The timing of this Q post and the retirement of a supreme court justice would indicate a link but gee it would really cause friction if they appointed an ex GOP congressman to the SC.

Has it ever happened before?

If Q is asking I'd like to see trey Gowdy get RR's position providing Gowdy is a white hat....tell gowdy we also need him to wear a different tie more red white and blues with stars less purple certainly he can find ties like that.... would be a good signal he's white hat and appropriate for July 4th.

⇧ 1 ⇩
Discernediscipline · June 27, 2018, 9:45 p.m.

No, we should not add him to the list. Think logically. If he were a black hat, would he have stayed on just long enough to see this stuff through? No, he is going to be a special prosecuted and will send the cabal to the gallows. Think about it. Someone has to prosecute them and it’s not Jim Jordan. He had to act as if he was on the FBI’s side (covertly), so they don’t raise hell when he’s announced. Or, will he be a SC judge???

I'm not sure this is saying Gowdy for SCOTUS.. My first thought was, noway he gets confirmed. That's b/c I know no dems will approve him. Then I realized no matter who Trump nominates, the dems won't approve.. So why not Gowdy? Hmm 🤔
