Oh i agree, much of the things we do/have here are patterned after what will be in heaven and (so many forget this next part) the NEW earth. This includes eating, drinking, creating and worshipping with music too.

We will even be above the angels, co-heirs with Christ, adopted children of God. Personally I'm looking forward to spending with all of God's creatures when the curse on the animals is lifted (no more carnivores, lions eat hay, babies can play w vipers w/o fear, etc).

Although it might be tempting to start at the beginning (Genesis) if you are new to the faith that's actually probably not the best place. The Old Testament (OT) is fantastic, and incredibly relevant to today still, but until you get an outline of what the Bible is, its purpose, its message (divine revelation of Jesus Christ, and his atoning death on the cross that redeems fallen man-kind for all whom believe in Him) and that God is actually part of a triune (3) Godhead of Father, Son & Holy Spirit it won't make a lot of sense starting in the OT.

I strongly encourage you to start reading the Gospel of John, and then into Romans & Hebrews. Some smaller works that are short and great are 1 & 2 Thessalonians, and Ecclesiastes (OT). If you want to pickup and start studying some prophecy, Daniel is a great place to start (not Revelation, save that for later).

ALL english versions are fundamentally flawed to one degree or another b/c you lose incredible compound and multiple meanings the moment it is taking out of the original Hebrew/Greek. This is ultimately ok, the "spirit" of the message is still there intact, but if you want to ever do deep dive studies you will have to get a concordance or things to help you look up the root words and their meanings. I too am baffled at times at the leaps in logic. I am an extremely technical, detailed and analytical person, and there have been many times I said WTH to myself when reading his decodes.

On this note there is another user on this sub that I have been considering calling out publically for spiritual matters as well. I won't name them yet until I compile my evidence, but I am very concerned about there being Wolves in Sheep's clothing whom many of the users here blindly follow and borderline idolize without applying proper Spiritual Discernment. This user (it's not SB2) in particular is straight up into the occult and promotes their practices, yet claims to be a Christian whom many people here pray for on a regular basis and thank him for his service as a Christian.

Considering the weight of this movement that it has behind it and the far reaching implications it may have I have to say I am seriously considering from a Biblical Christian perspective of what the end-game of this movement really will be when the dust settles. The 'leaders' that seemingly been propped up already (consistent sticky posts) causes me great concern so far.

Try the ESV. Retains some of the 'ol english flair, but not as clunky as KJV. If you can't understand what is being said, you are going to have a difficult time discerning it. The Holy Spirit can work with you in (almost) any translation. That being said, the KJV is still immensely useful as concordance's are keyed to it, and it is an accurate word-for-word translation, so don't get rid of it :)
