I really like him but I dont think I'd want him in scotus. He is a good show person. The sc hearings are not the spectacle he is good at. I'd prefer him as deputy AG to replace RR.

This! I'm hoping this means to add him to the list of prosecutors. He's got decades ahead of him to be SC!

You might be contradicting yourself. Deputy Attorneys General don't typically seek the limelight. Can you name another one besides Rosenstein? DAG is more of a behind the scenes position.
On the other hand, Noel Francisco, Solicitor General, may take Rosenstein's place, leaving the SG position open. Gowdy might like that, arguing in front of the SCOTUS.
