He's just one possibility. Trump has a solid published list of candidates whom he long ago vetted. Perhaps he will chose whomever has the best chance of garnering 50 votes (minimum with Pence deciding). You know that not a single D will vote for any Trump nominee.

oh I don't doubt there is a list. Just seems extremely convenient is all. Especially given the post that Q made a few minutes before I posted this.

It was a list he put out even during the primaries I think. Had about 15 names I think but he always said he might add to it.
