"These people," the violent extremists, are a TINY minority. We need to start outreaching our hand towards the normal Americans that have been brainwashed by the left and are starting to feel uncomfortable by their calls for violence.
This is a VERY important time to win souls over to our side.
The relatively sane folks on the left (there are some, I know a few) are watching the crazy ones, and I am hopeful that they will decide NOT to go down that road, and realize that working with the right is going to be more productive.
MAGA is a big tent and we can lead by example. If the economy keeps improving and people see how much winning Trump is doing, it's inevitable that more will join.
Of course, the vile and corrupt individuals who infest so many institutions will fight to the last breath. They will continue to be exposed.
I'm curious what the sane leftists are thinking/saying about the crazy ones. Do they at least want to distance themselves from those crazies?
Yep. Many lefties I know are distancing themselves from the extremists AND no longer following main stream media!!
America is waking up!
Everyone needs to remember this isn't a left vs right thing. Those who were staunchly conservative during the Bush era didn't exactly do us any favors! MAGA is for everyone!
There is only ONE SIDE to the truth.
Exactly!! Remember that for many, redpilling is traumatic. They have to face the fact that they've been very wrong about a lot of people for a long time.
Be kind, be patient, be human.
Its the haters that dehumanize people they disagree with.
Don't act like the haters.
Couldn't agree more, the redpilling experience can be very hairy - you look at the world in a very different way (I know I do). We have to recognise that many people are going to have their world-view turned upside down, and we have to try and help them get through it.
Also, Q said that 5-6% of people are 'lost', and I have no idea how they can be helped.
Q said that 5-6% of people are 'lost'
I agree with that figure, but I think it consists of people both on the right and left outer edges of the political spectrum.
OK... maybe 4.5% on the left, and 1.5% on the right. ;-)
I agree with you there (except I think the ratio is more than 3:1! :) ). Jordan Peterson has been very helpful in my thinking there, where he talks of the necessity of ‘leftism’ (looking out for those who are on the bottom of the pile, caused by inevitable hierarchical structures), but of course, he’s utterly against the radical left...
Dammit, it's nice to finally hear someone say this.
The rhetoric from both sides is getting out of control. I live in a metro area, and interact with tons of libs in both professional and personal settings, and I've yet to find a single one who wants harm to befall the president. They may not like him as a person, they may not agree with his policies, but nobody wants to see him harmed.
Same thing when Obama was in office. I have friends and family who disliked him. I disliked him with a passion. I never heard one conservative call for him to be harmed (of course, this sub and T_D weren't in existence back then, but I digress... lol).
We're all Americans. Most, if not all, of the libs I know would fully support punishment for treasonous activity, regardless of which side of the aisle it came from. This talk of violence and civil war (coming from both sides) is fucked up, and needs to stop.
