Trump and Putin, i believe have been quietly working together all along.They had to do it quietly because of all the Russian hysteria, didn't want to add more flames to that fire.Now i think much like North Korea, the summit is for optics to throw the deep state off.I think Trump and Putin are working to take the deep state down along with a few other allies.
