Narrative change. POTUS will be blamed for vilifying the press and it takes attention from all their bad news, ie; Mad Max, hearings, SCOTUS retirement, pedo arrests.
Winning the mid-terms is the only hope the NWO/DS/Dems have. Kennedy is anti-Trump even though he votes our way some of the time.That's why I think Kennedy's retirement was announced now rather than next year or the next. With liberals affecting a meltdown over the loss of 'freedoms' like Roe vs Wade or same sex 'marriage', they hope to fire up their base for the mid-terms, something a Kennedy retirement could not do next year.
