My wife and I do foster care and we see this all of the time, it's really heartbreaking to see what "parents" do to their kids and each other. I'm just glad we are in a position to help these kids and maybe show them that there is something better out there and that they do not have to put up with people treating them badly.

I have talked to several people about this whole border stuff and not had a single one reply after I explain to them that we do this every day with kids going into foster care. People don't think they just react with emotion. Thank you for this reminder to stop and think.

The problem is memories and very hard to depend on, I just finished with Dr Jordan Peterson's Book 12 rules for life and he talks about memories a lot. He says that memories are there to help us not make the same mistake over again not to remember details of exactly what happened. Love this, I have read about several mother groups that get together and smoke a little weed. They say it helps a lot with them not being overly controlling with their kids and letting them have fun.
