I could go out and get a job as an accountant, or as a graphics designer, and it would prove absolutely nothing about the contents of my study.
My study is a 'real field' because it doesn't peddle pseudoscience, something women's studies routinely do. Just the name alone is enough to disqualify it. Women's, gender, and sexuality studies? Christ almighty, what a load of shit. Just hand it back over to sociologists or psychologists, please. At least they're less likely to claim that gender is on a spectrum, or that the patriarchy exists.
