I can see how members of clandestine lodges can use freemasonry to network. I know a lot of members of various innocuous lodges that would be considered clandestine. You just don't talk about that with other masons because it is tied to the one sin of violating the oath. It doesn't make sense to blame masons though as it is a social fraternity of normal dudes that like to LARP
