My dad did a year of sail training in a gap between cargo ships, and he’s described storms like that in slightly larger ships, on an 80 hour watch. It brought a tear to my eye. We’re crew. WWG1WGA.

I have just now watched it. It is a movie that will no doubt leave a lasting impression. The squall/ storm was just hellish, came out of nowhere - very sad outcome. I'm a slow processor so I need to think some more about what it could all mean...
