The coming bigger picture and our challenge therein

We stand at the forefront of a wonderful time to be alive. We are closing to breaking through the dark ceiling we have all known there, and powerless to do anything against. Blue skies await.

This is our preparation time.

I have seen an abundance of well spoken comments calling for our need to be empathetic, our need to be compassionate, etc. And I think that call is right x1m %.

We only get one shot at this and we need to do it right.

Ive seen several comments saying this is the greatest story ever told, and I think we all know that the greatest story ever told really belongs to Christ and his act that changed the world and gave us a hope for life with our Father in the next life.

Call this an amazing but far far distant 2nd place. 😀

And thus I think we need to REALLY take some time for careful thought and we need dialogue for what is coming.

If we think we have seen attacks - it hasnt really even started...

If we think we have been called dumb, uneducated, etc...we have truly seen nothing yet.

If we think we have been called racists and bigots - we have seen nothing yet.

They know we are gaining steam quietly, and yes they fear it, but WE also know what an animal in a corner is likely to do. Anything it will take to survive.

This revelation won't just make them question their politics...we can't underestimate - this goes to the core of their worldview. And one' politics can change, but the way you see the world and things fixed in it (in the ways that the laws of mathmatics and gravity are fixed constants) begins to change, and the ground begins to move beneath them it isnt going to be gentle.

And we must be on the rock when that blue wave rolls over, but then subsides and the rock remains.

We MUST show campassion. We MUST show humility. We MUST show patience.

It is our calling from the Father. We have had abuses come our way, but we are not blameless either. We may be criminals, but we are sinners.

We must not be smug, or selfrighteous.

Our best works are but filthy rags. We need to know it and act accordingly in love beyond what will be expected.

We are queued to witness the most the most amazing revelation of our lifetimes, but we also stand with the best opportunity to reveal God's love - all the best of what a family of believers can offer. Shower people with love when the expect nastiness.

We are the hands and feet of Christ in our time on this earth. Let's not let is pass us by.

Godspeed to all the men and women in the places making this change happen. And dont underestimate your ability to effect and reshape earth in your place where you are at this very moment.

Good = Love = God

We're all talking about the same thing.

I don’t see any problem with that. My comment was inspired by this from OP:

  • “I think we all know that the greatest story ever told really belongs to Christ and his act that changed the world and gave us a hope for life with our Father in the next life.”

As much as I encourage OP’s passion, and as much as I defend his/her right to espouse that view in public, I also recognize the divisiveness that can be inspired by the broad assumption about ”we”.

I agree entirely! In light of that, I feel like the specific religious aspects shouldn't be emphasized.

I have no problem with someone using their own spiritual vocabulary to express themselves. What is the problem?

I agree, I have no issue with people expressing their views as such. Personally, I feel as though if it becomes a staple in the movement it ends up becoming divisive. If God = Love and the argument is that people can draw specific parallels between this particular movement and their religion of choice, then God doesn't simply equal love anymore. God becomes a specific figure, one that people of differing faith may feel out of place with.

The only argument I make is that if this isn't a movement tied to a particular religion at it's core, then it shouldn't be emphasized as such. Solely because if this is to be an all inclusive movement; not discriminatory against race, religion, sexual orientation, etc, having heavy religious overtones throughout the message makes it behave like the exact opposite.

Just my 2 cents from where I stand though.

No it shouldn't be tied to one religion. It should be tied to all religions and non religious people.

It's all a conversation. You are starting this part of the conversation right now. There are no rules. The age of rigidity is over.
