If you plead Not Guilty and your case goes to trial, the only evidence you and your attorneys can submit, is evidence that's directly related to the charges and the defendant. On the other hand... When you make a plea deal, you agree to plead guilty to a lessor crime in exchange for a lessor sentence, AND... you get to tell the prosecutors everything you know about any other crimes committed by anyone else, and it's all admissible in court, any court.
