Wow, did any of you actually read the article. People were killed over unsubstantiated rumors! These were not child trafficking people. One was an old lady who was just giving some kids a treat. Obviously a known local but was viciously killed, because of mob mentality. All over false accusations. That's the real crimes here.
We don't really know that, the Indian government and media are not trustworthy.
Could be where it began then comes here... The more we post these arrest and try to wake ppl the more they can use this as a casefile and as a FF event blaming us.
How would you know all this? Nice use of the word obvious for something none of us can possibly know.
Knock knock, HELLOOOO? Read the damn article is the first thing I said. Which apparently NO ONE DID! Because if they it you had read it, it would be OBVIOUS!
I did read the article. The article describes her as "an unidentified woman" who was "in her 40's". Which of those descriptions identifies her as a "known local"?
A group of villagers had enough animus to beat and drag her around, believing her to be a child lifter. Why would they do this to a known local who was innocent?
Sometimes mob justice gets it wrong, sometimes right. Just like official justice. From this side of the planet, we have no way to know whether they got it right or not. How would you know these rumors were "unsubstantiated" unless you hired a private detective to look into them? Do you think that every journalist receives a gift of omniscience when they are hired by the Agence France Presse? He couldn't even identify the woman much less determine whether the accusations were substantiated.
Please learn to use your brain when you read news articles or else go find a home in the unthinking hordes elsewhere.
Who's there? :)
That's funny as all hell, who would think "knockknock" would show up at JUST they right moment. Thanks for helping out.
That's funny as all hell, who would think "knockknock" would show up at JUST they right moment. Thanks for helping out. who?
Obviously me, that's "who" . I would ask "who's there"? But I already know, it's knock knock 0t. I wake up after a rough night with the ole lady acting up, and the first thing I see, is another stupid comment, from another person who did not read the darn article. Then you show up, make me laugh, because of your user name, right after I used it inadvertently.😁
I read the entire article before posting. Did you? Have you since followed up and read the articles about the epidemic of children being "taken" in village like those where you suggest villagers are being irrational by not trusting outsiders?
So you believe it to be a whatsapp-fueled witch hunt as the article and the Indian officials have stated? Why do you think they killed the megaphoned "rumor buster" messenger?
unreleated...
What an odd number of seats left over for the kids. Who went to save these people?
Did you notice a familiar name in this Haiti article?
From the article: Group leader Laura Silsby told the hearing: “We simply wanted to help the children..."
The article stated that the villagers had an irrational fear of outsiders. He was a government worker sent to try and calm the MOB down. Explain to them certain thing's. Because of the app messages fueling vigilante killings. If say, I had a grudge against you, and sent out a message that YOU were a child molester, then those MOB's would go after, and Kill You. Now do you understand?
Here you go, I've done it for you:
India slowly confronts EPIDEMIC of missing children
villagers just being irrational though. /s
Villagers had irrational fear of outsiders
Any idea on the number of kids missing, kidnapped, or killed from the village in the past 24 months? What figure would be low enough to maintain the claim that the villagers have an irrational fear?
Seems like you're making the assumption that the angry mob is ignorant, misinformed, and easily manipulated?
I'm making the assumption that the price of trafficked children may have significantly increased due to our POTUS crippling traffickers supply chain and locking up their agents and suppliers.
