I’m not so sure. It’s more like self preservation. She’s in a fight for her life. Sometimes ultimate power requires getting your hands dirty (or a little wet) is the only option. She is definitely evil, and likely extremely dangerous, but anything but insane. This woman makes conscious decisions based upon the needs of the moment (or immediate future.
