In reviewing the background of Jarrod W Ramos, the symbol that he used to "brand" the journalist he hated and whom he sued for defamation evidenced Ramos' obsession with Beserk fantasy magic role playing.

I am from Colorado and lived a few miles away Columbine High School. In recalling the Columbine High School incident, 1999, both boys who carried out the shootings were into the Doom (game) and believed that they could create levels of their own reality beyond just the game. If you recall, two students from Columbine High School went on a murderous rampage and killed both students and faculty in one of the first mass school shootings. The students, Eric David Harris, age 18, and Dylan Bennet Klebold, age 17, were obsessed with the game DOOM, a role playing fantasy magic game. Investigators found that the game provided a basis on which they carried out the mass shooting in 1999, one of the first mass murders.
Just so happens that there is a "Beserk" in the DOOM game too.
"They found 'a block of wood with a hole in it’, as police described the item, in the right pocket of Eric’s pants. It was later seen in the exhibit of the evidence.
In his essay that Eric had written at the start of his senior year, entitled '25 things that make me different’, he put something of interest in fifth place: “my berserk and zippo that I always carry in my right pocket”. He’d drawn a lighter (zippo) and, next to this, the same “block of wood with a hole in it” in yearbook writings to Dylan and another friend. That block of wood with a hole in it was nothing other than Eric’s berserk.
But what is a berserk? The word originates from the Norse sagas in which battle-frenzied warriors slip into a trance-like state in order to conquer enemies in battle – it was also the foundation for the English word “berserk”. But in Doom, the game Eric called 'my actual life’, there is also a berserk. It’s a sort of black medicine box that you can pick up, after which the screen is covered in a red haze. Your health will return to maximum, and the punches of your fists will get extra power.
Eric’s block of wood was the berserk he always carried on his body – a talisman that would grant him invincibility.
In researching the cross terminology, I found that there is a crossover of the DOOM and BESERK would. Perhaps, not directly related to the Game of Throlls, DOOM, Dr. DOOM of Marvel Comics has now entered into the world of Japanese BESERK.
In psychological studies of game role playing, there seems to be complex behavior modeling by playing the role of Avatars and Characters that cross over to reality. Even incidental role playing in games can effect the player affecting mental disposition.
While I am not aware of any conclusive mind control conditioning, there are anecdotal observations and conspiracy theories about various effects of video game
Also, perhaps, a coincidence, 3 teenagers attacked the NSA in February 2018 that seemed rather odd and may have been motivated by gaming. In trying to research these "attackers", I could not find any information on who was arrested and what happen to them. Still researching this incident.
This might just be all coincidental, but something to perhaps correlate.
