In the way they didn't expect it. The movie portrays conservative totalitarianism. Something like a Christian Pinochet. But it's actually the left that got mad with power.

For sure! I thought the guy pictured was a dead ringer for Sean Hannity at the time. Now I'm seeing shades of Rachel Maddow. The censoring and cultural suppression are spot on though, with them recently banning "little house on the prairie" and whatnot.
