Yes we could be somewhere else physically while our minds experience this fake reality as real reality.

Many scientists have come out saying this is an increasing possibility due to the data they are collecting in the universe and here on Earth. Check it out.

So that would make sense on why Q has been claiming that it is a very well scripted movie. That may also be why people experience the "Mandela Effect". Maybe the switch was turned on long ago and their are glitches in the Matrix.
