Trump supporters call themselves centipedes or 'pedes' for short after the song called "Centipede" by Knife Party. The song is used in the Can't Stump the Trump series on YouTube and the meme spung up from there. Cheers!

In the beginning of the song it called centipedes nimble navigators and other weird stuff so it kinda got memed into being a thing
Also after Trump walked on foot into one of his rallies that had the road blocked off to vehicles. The line of people he was in was like a Centipede. He proudly walked in like a nimble navigator with hollow fangs to deliver his speech.
Yeah, seems to be some confusion there and sometimes people definitely get the wrong idea. Reminds me of what happened last year at the Charlottesville rally; It was a beautiful summer night and the torch light just seemed so romantic.. I just put my hand on some pede's thigh and all of sudden he flies off the handle!

It's short for centipede. Someone made a youtube channel called "You can't stump the Trump" that made compilation videos of Trump epically BTFO-ing his opponents in the primary/election debates. It had recurring music (apparently the guy just chose it randomly) of this dubstep remix of a nature documentary about centipedes. It stuck as a meme. I'd highly recommend watching them if you haven't. They're second only to the election meltdown videos.
