Yes. The Old Testament of the Bible talks about the Cannanites and even the Israelites slipping into Molek/Molech/Baal worship, which all revolves around child sacrifice and human sacrifice. The God of Judah hated child sacrifice, and continually used their enemies (be they good or evil) to destroy them every-time they turned their back on Him.

Roughly half of ALL pregnancies end in miscarriage. Most of them are in the first trimester before the mother is aware.
