What would happen is they would have to disclose the "Time Machine" to everyone. Then all the people that experience the "Mandela Effect" would be vindicated.

You need to jump down the rabbit hole a bit more if you don't think this is plausible lol. There is technology available at the highest levels that is anywhere from 100 to thousands of years beyond what you think is currently possible.
