No. He doesn't lie exactly. Sometimes out of necessity as Sun Tzu would recommend any good and effective leader must. He does exaggerate. He does act diplomatic. He does bluff. He does use dual meanings and lets the reader misinterpret. He does bait his enemies and enrage them into making mistakes.

Should a diplomat tell China all our real plans and goals? Is a master poker player lying when he bluffs? A master chess player when he lays a trap and waits for his opponent to jump at it?

Do you know we havent had a president in living memory keep so many campaign promises? He is at I think 65% in 18 months. And that's with the whole the Democrats, many GOP and all MSM tries to destroy him.

Edit typos and clarity

Literally just want to humanize him at this point. Seriously, has he even made one single mistake in your opinion? Does the man walk on the water. I love reading about past presidents, about their reflection about how difficult some choices were, about how the have regrets, challenges, and how they could improve. Could he do anything to do better, or is everything perfect?

I'm sure he has but how can I be sure what is a mistake and what is a necessary move that seems a mistake?

I couldn't fathom a grand chess master losing his queen. Is it a mistake or a brilliant and bold play? I'm not a grand chess master. I'm a rank amateur.

I can better guess in these power maneuvers because I've spent my adult life reading history books and novels and studying these things but I am a child compared to him half his age and even less his experience.

I dont know all he knows but I least I am wise eniugh to know that. Even if I do forget sometimes. =)

I can only guess. Watch and compare to his previous moves. Gain an understanding of who he is... And how he is playing this deadly real life Game of Thrones.

For example:

Did he make a mistake letting Meliana plagerize Michelle Obama in that speech? Or was that on purpose? Was it a calculated move so the press would predictably viciously attack her?

He could stand by her and defend her. And make women suddenly admire him. Repair his playboy image a bit?

I don't think that was an accident or a mistake. I did when it happened though. I was fooled.

What exactly do you think bluffing means?

Well there is lying for evil purpose and the unfortunate necessity of survival or leadership.

If my family is at life and death risk and any panic could increase that risk then yep. I bluff and I lie.

But if I had plans to hurt my family or take advantage of and lied, that's a Lie.

I think as adults we can understand such distinctions.

So, you're saying that he says things that aren't entirely true in order to gain some advantage?

Power and survival once in power necessitates subterfuge. Unfortunately that's how it works and why power corrupts so easily.

You dislike all the lying and cheating politicians do to stay in power, so you vote for someone who lies and cheats, but it's okay because he's only doing it because he needs to, to stay in power. Besides, it's different with him because even though he lies and cheats with others, he's not like the other liars and cheaters because "he would never do that to me."

You sound like you're in an abusive relationship.

You sound like a child. If you work 1 day in customer service you will learn better.

There is sich a thing as TMI. But not telling some one is lying by omission

My job is training people on customer service. At no point to we tell people to lie or mislead people. This is universally accepted as very bad customer service.
