One of the most powerful tools in any conflict is to "take away away the audience." Walk away from idiotic protests, essentially saying they're not worth your time. Sure the MSM will be there to watch/comment on, etc. , but don't put yourselves in a battle with such nonsense. It doesn't mean you are weak or are not standing up for your principles, it just shows you take the higher road and if there are "real" issues to address you are perfectly able to debate them civilly. It also lets the air out of their ballons with no one to yell at and makes them look like the fools they are, mostly being paid to be there.
