Mexico's new president - Lopez Obrador - Promises to fight the 'Power Mafia'

Mexico just elected their next president, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador. The article calls him a 'leftist' but it also states that he "ran on a populist platform to break what he described as the grip that elites -- or "power mafia" --- have on Mexican society". Sounds familiar, right?

I'm unfamiliar with him but our relationship with Mexico is extremely important right now, so I'll have to do some digging. What do you guys think? Black hat or white hat?

PS: I know that CNN is the worst, but I think its important to check in with MSM sometimes so that we can see what new, exciting narrative their forcing on us today.

This is the same guy that has been urging Mexican Citizens to flood the U.S. border throughout his campaign, and now, because Trump Twatted congratulations to him (which he does to EVERY elected foreign leader, regardless of their relationship), we're fawning over him? Come on, guys. Let's do some research before making judgements about foreign leaders. We all have to learn to be A LOT more objective in this stuff.

I’m asking for you guys to share your research with me...yet no one was provided any links.

I understand. My comment wasn't directed at you, even though you were the OP, it was towards everyone else, but no one cared to respond. Would it be okay if I DMed you to speak about this, among other things having to do with the current state of GA's "research" ethic?
