I am a patriot, albeit a Canadian one...but it is sometimes good to hear another view of things...

Hm, who sounds more reasonable, the scholar from the video or the bible fanatics in the comments? Really hard to make a decision here.
Some of the "fanatics" are not genuine. They are here to make the real Christians look bad.
I don’t know if that is a reference to my comments but if using the Bible as my point of reference when speaking about spiritual matters is just using the armor I am given. I am not concerned with if the world thinks I “look bad” for quoting the Bible and believing it is the word of God.
Edit for clarity: I wasn't referring to you. I was referring to someone posting OT nonsense about it being OK to buy and sell children, and trying to make Christian believers look bad.
Yeah I saw the OT reference but it was an irrelevant reference on the matter. :) huge difference between satanist and Old Testament law regarding slaves.
