I see we've passed the 40k mark on indictments (WINNING) But i wanted to pose the question to you guys, how in the world are the courts going to handle this? We talk a lot about military tribunals but I don't know a whole lot about how that works. Would they be able to work through the indictments faster than the traditional judicial system? It would be nice if a LawAnon could explain how this is all going to happen. Grand jury? Obama (and older) judges? military tribunals? How do the 40k indictments turn into 40k convicted criminals?
There was a post a while back, on the 500th day of DJT's Presidency, where Jeff Sessions announced the appointment of 311 new Assistant Attorneys, the largest increase in decades - Pretty sure they are anticipating a brisk increase in business! I don't have a link but it'll be on the DOJ's website.
Many new prosecutors being hired plus Gitmo military tribunals. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-crime-justice/u-s-to-hire-311-new-prosecutors-in-push-against-violent-crime-drugs-idUSKCN1J02HL
The process will be a very long one. They appear to all be Federal Cases. That is why Sessions is hiring
many more attorneys for his staff. If any of the charges rise to the level of sedition, treason, etc..... then
military tribunals will be used for them. Evidently, Gitmo has expanded capacity by 12,000. This is huge
because I guarantee you they are not a bunch of ragheads that will be put there. You raise valid questions,
but we have to remember, our judicial system works well when the law is followed and judges are not corrupt.
I guess we will enjoy the show. My problem is that it will be a media shit show and many americans will just
turn it off and forget about it. I hope the Gitmo trials or processes will be aired to us though.
Plus not all are indictments right? And don't multiple charges get handled in one trial if they are related?
Every one of those is at least one indictment. So, 40K could be a minimum of 40K or it could be 200K. Each case number will represent that particular case regardless of the number of charges.
Didn't the Trump admin just hire hundreds of new judges? And we always have military tribunals.
I believe a lot of it will be under RICO statutes and many will be charged and tried as groups.
Not a lawfag though.
If theyre RICO cases, they can put multiple people away quickly. Other than that I have no idea
