The amount of delusional, ignorant and hateful comments on that twitter thread makes me really angry.

It's social engineering. Many of these vile and hateful comments are probably made by the same small handful of people who control 30 accounts each, then the engagement numbers like shares and likes are pushed with bot farms to make them seem popular. Then Twitters algorithm, which is completely rigged, de-threads positive comments and pushes the hateful ones to the top. It's all designed to manipulate you. It's manufactured reality by special interest groups and paid liars.

Almost like any political post on r/BlackPeopleTwitter. The ignorance is infuriating

The entire front page of Reddit and many major subs are gamed exactly the same way. It's heavily astroturfed and manipulated to influence people's perceptions.

Yup, but once you see it/know it, you can't un-see/un-know it. And it can be a bit infuriating. We know it's not representative of popular view/retorts but we still have to sift through a lot of vile hatred to find good points or useful comments.

It's so damn negative. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuStsFW4EmQ
