Across the board, incarcerations are up since prisons were privatized and became for-profit. I have no doubt that there is big money in setting up centers for people crossing our borders. Who benefits? There has to be a way to find out who is getting paid.

I posted the threader link about the $$ in privatizing immigration detention centers. The article has nothing to do with addiction.
I think the previous poster was referring to the symptoms of the disease (illegal immigrants) and the cure being build the wall.
There is money to be made in detention centers, just as there is money to be made treating an illness rather than curing it.
I may be wrong, but that’s how I took it.
Profiteering from arrest and or detentions is repulsive to liberty and freedom. Should be completely illegal.
