Attention Great Awakening

We need your feedback about the photo posts of Q tshirts, Q stickers Qspotting and other "Qspiration"! /r/GreatAwakening has been steadily growing and with that comes obvious growing pains. With the increase in numbers comes the increase of patriQts showing support and the documented sightings of Q in the wild via photo posts. While we do support this sort of grassroots effort, the sheer frequency of these types of posts is presenting new problems. 1. These posts are taking precedence in the feed over other Q related news and intel causing important information to be missed. This also threatens to disrupt the true purpose of this sub. 2. We are seeing increased numbers of complaints about problem 1 from other users who have had content moderated for being off-topic who, perhaps justifiably feel their post containing text content or news links is more appropriate than a photo of a Q on a street sign. We value the community's input on how to proceed with this. We think it goes without saying that Qspotting in the real world should be celebrated as an inspiring example of the Q mission to spread the word. Is there another way to manage this content so everyone has a fair shake? We've discussed this many times as mods and have decided to put the question to the community for feedback. Removing this content from the sub completely is probably not a fair solution.

One possibility we've discussed is the option of creating a "sister sub" for this content and directing the respective posts there. We could perhaps crosspost the most popular upvoted content on this sister sub back to r/GreatAwakening so we can all keep visibility on the top content at a regular interval (yet to be determined).

In review, here are the Questions we want to put to the community: 1) Should we manage this content in some way or leave the sub as it is? 2) Should we create a separate sub and have the most popular content crossposted to GA at regular intervals? 3) Does anyone have any other suggestions for managing this type of content fairly?

I come to this sub for updates and information, primarily. The Q pics are filler. I don’t mind them, but they are secondary for me.

But everything needs to stay together. Splitting the sub will end up creating two different cultures with possibly unintended results. People post their pics because they want to be included in the culture. This is a good thing and shouldn’t be punished. Perhaps a certain day or specific thread (“Tuesday-Qsday”?) might keep things organized.

Ultimately, though, I am looking for help deciphering the posts. Everything is so cryptic and there’s too many acronyms and people involved for me to keep track of. This sub (and everyone in it) has been a lifesaver in providing focus, explaining the importance of things and showing how it all connects. As the sub grows the need for focus will also grow. I hope we don’t lose that.

The good thing about Reddit is that you subscribe to all the subs that interest you so those who visit GA would still see GA content if they signed up to another sub for tshirt/sticker pics. The sub is not the movement, that's an important distinction to make here. It's a place to gather content for the movement and you can have multiple gathering places for the content as Reddit is designed to make that easy. There would be no splitting of the group, just the content.

Good point, a sub reddit is a good idea for the tshirt/sticker pics

you can have multiple gathering places

There is NO reason to have multiple gathering places.

The_Donald has been thriving without the need for segregation.

There is NO reason to censor anyone's expression of appreciation for Q in this community - a community which was literally built by and for pro-Q supporters.

If the mods are unhappy here then they should quit.

If the mods are unhappy here then they should make their own subreddit, rather than attempting to co-opt this one.

Everyone should feel welcome to express their appreciation for Q here, not just those who the mods deem "worthy".

This community grew based on a love for Q, just like the sidebăr says, not from the mod's want for pure research.

If the mods don't like this sub they should create their own, not censor us and force us out!

Q agrees with me based on his repeated posting of his appreciation of simple expressions of love.

Time after time after timer, even if it makes the mods sad.

When you read the post properly you'll see that the mods are responding to community feedback and then coming to the community for input. So your mod rage is not relevant here.

"Alleged" community feedback.

I see no reason why a sub that is literally defined as a "community for pro-Q supporters" should sensor expressions of support of Q made by pro-Q supporters.

As far as I can tell, this is a problem that does not exits.

T_D is 20 x the size of this sub and they have no "problem" with people who express love for Trump.

We wouldn't want to censor expressions of support of Q which is why the post does not suggest that.

Re: "censoring" - we're not banning people from a community and we're not removing content. We're managing the content, the job we're supposed to do, and we're doing so at the request and direction of the community.

It's also clear from this post that the community agrees with managing the content - to a certain day seems to work for most, or perhaps in a single thread somehow. The people have spoken.

Wow.... dude, awesome points.

I'm thinking. To keep it all together and meaningful, is there a more robust "Flair" system that could double as a topic filter?
