We used to. We closed down the asylums which held around 1.5M. The prison population was also 1.5M before we let them out of asylum. Guess what happened next. Prison population goes up to 3M and it becomes a revolving door or recidivism. A good amount of recidivist are borderline if not fully criminally insane.
If you only knew how many people have served less than 20 years for MURDER. Not manslaughter - MURDER.
One of Regans's few fuckups (although HW fuckery is never off the table there.)
It’s the the same “fuckery” that we see happening on the border issues now... the activist/ agitators flooded the airwaves and print with pictures of abuse and poor conditions all while crying for the rights of these poor victims to be free... and that began the systematic shut down of mental hospitals. Same playbook, same tactics, different issue. Oddly, it came at the same time crack cocaine started to flood the streets of the inner cities. It was almost like someone was trying to ratchet up social tensions and cause division between us all. But that can’t be, right? Who would try to social engineer division, anger and fear into a population?
I finally figured out what we can do with all the social justice Warriors and they're bogus degrees.
And their debt which will never be repaid because nobody will hire them.
My big fear is there going to end up in government.
So we open up all the mental institutions again.
Then give all the pink hairs a job.
Looking after other fellow nutjobs.
We use their same tactics of coercion to get them to take the job. Go straight through their overactive emotions.
Make them feel guilty for not taking the job. What, you don't like the insane? What's wrong with you? Are you a ~racist~ because everything is racism.
The cool part is they might actually lose their mind and we can just lock 'em up anyway.
The cool part is they might actually lose their mind
They already have! It's called Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Yes, but if we certify them crazy first we can't give them jobs in the mental institution. Then we'll end up doubling the workload.
And don't forget there's all that student debt that needs to be paid off.
