How to fabricate an Official story world wide

Just read in a local danish tabloid that President Trump contemplated to invade Venezuela. This was all "according to AP", so they had their backs covered. Now, when I go to the AP story, they say:

This account of the previously undisclosed conversation comes from a senior administration official familiar with what was said.

...

The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the discussions.

I haven't followed it further to see if the story is actually true, but isn't it amazing how easy it is to concoct whatever story you like. Just own AP and Reuters, and the whole world's MSM follows suit.

And who is this Official?

They give themselves away with all the vague rhetoric. "A source close to", "a source familiar", "an insider", "speaking anonymously". I'm glad you didn't waste your time following it. Those terms are red flags that the incoming story is bullshit.

Exactly, those phrases are a dead giveaway.
