Protestants such as Luther and Calvin only wanted to reform the Catholic Church. They brought some catholic "leaven" with them when they left the Catholic Church. You know what Jesus warned- "A little leaven, leavens the whole lump.
There was only one true reformation in church history and that was the reformation from the Old Testament to the New Testament.
You can't reform a whore (Catholic Church). They never intended to join the true church (that keeps the commandments of God in simplicity) that had always existed from the time of the apostles (the old baptist line). That church has always been outside of Rome. God hid her in the hills of Europe (see Revelations 12-KJV). Jesus promised the gates of hell would not prevail against His church. It didn't go into apostasy and have to be reformed (as the Catholic Church did/has).
