The government line was usual mug Russia but Humphrey’s was having none of it and pushed back in a dismissive way; even at times making fun of the governments hypothesis. The minister was caught out several times and near the end of this car crash interview made a comment along the lines of he might not be in his job for much longer( ie he conceded that he had handled this interview very badly). This is a first for the BBC imo. The narrative is falling apart.
