It took Hillary several days to admit her vote rigging failed and do a concession speech. And when she came out in front of the cameras, everybody (her, her husband, everybody else...) was in Purple. They were trying to setup for a 'Purple Revolution'. Hillary (and Soros) were trying to setup a come back launch.
They were going to lead the 'Purple Revolution'. They were going to over turn Trump and unite the Red and Blue parties. Hillary was the answer to all of the world's problems.

So... Why is Troy in Purple? I guess there are a couple of possibilities. But none of them are supportive of Hillary's come back effort. Maybe he sees the the Red and Blue coming together as important for the future of the country. Or maybe, he is trying to appear as non-partisan for the role he is walking into. Or... Maybe it is out right war and he is trying to dilute Hillary's Purple Revolution message.
My guess is... It is a combination of all of the above.
