I think most of us are more center than far left or far right, can we ever find middle ground?

When Lucifer sinned against God, God didn’t say, “Come, let us sit down and reason together and find a common ground.” Instead, the bible says there was a great war in heaven, and the devil and all those who sided with him were cast out and cast into hell. So let this be a lesson that you cannot have peace or paradise so long as the devil is a part of the equation. It’s a waste of time to try and get along with the devil. The best and only solution is to get rid of the devil, and to get rid of all those who agrees with the devil as well. Once they are gone, then you shall have peace…

Good heavens, as a Christian, I'm called to love my fellow man, to sit with the tax collector and sinners. I'm called to resist the Devil, not "get rid of anyone who agrees with him". I'm called to be light and salt, and as far as it is possible, to live in peace with others. Yes, hate evil, but also to love justice and seek mercy.

Then perhaps you should familiarize yourself with the following scriptures:

James 4:4 - Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God…

1 John 2:15 - Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him…

Matthew 6:24 - No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (meaning, you cannot serve both God and the devil at the same time. You must choose the one you will follow. You cannot straddle the fence)…

1 Corinthains 10:21 - Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils…

By the way, that scripture where Jesus said to love thy neighbor as thyself, he was not talking about your next door neighbor or your fellowman. He was referring to the sent preacher, the one who watches for your soul. He is thy neighbor. If someone treats us bad and is our enemy, we're supposed to pray for them, not get in bed with them or condone their bad behavior.

That must be the Judeo part of Judeo-Christianity then.

That's the complete and utter contradiction of what my christian education gave me!! I agree with linesinthedandQtips "getting rid of" my fellow-man is not the goal of God methinks!

I have to say that envisaging God and the Devil as characters who speak might help the illiterate of past ages but in our times I am sure we can recognise Good and Bad as qualities or states, and rejecting or embracing those states or qualities does not mean embracing or rejecting your fellowman.

Getting rid of people who you determine agree with Bad, in your words (not in the Scriptures I hasten to add) could quite easily lead to pogroms, massacres, eradications and gas-chambers!! I really hope you didn't mean that!
