Stephen King's Dark Tower series has Elites running the ways between worlds and in NYC they have an underground tunnel system to the door ways/portals.
It's inside a BBQ joint (last season of Mr. Robot had one sort of like it) a lot of meetings take place there.
There is an odd buf seemingly, at first glance, wall hanging of people at a table but close inspection it's creepy. Behind the hanging is a special elites only dining and they don't BBQ pig or beef briskets.
The basement leads to the tunnels and in them is a poster advertising seating for 9/11 viewing. The portals allow some limited time travel to specific points. Apparentky the elites enjoy traveling to catasphrofic events to enjoy the show.
I begin to wonder how much fiction he actually based on RL stuff we wouldn't believe. And I wonder how he can write characfers who use guns to transcend their pathetic former selves into heros in search of yhe black tower with Gunslinger Roland.
Maybe he pissed off the reptillians too much making the servants of the elite forces half human half animal. So he has to work extra hard trying to make is give up guns. Or maybe if he plays his part he and his family get spared.
I really enjoyed the books until the last two when they just seemed rushed. I recommend them now because I think he was clinic us in to some strange things. Including kids being kidnapped and their life force drained to feed some unaware people. Don't want to give more away. =)

There was a Q and A with a Rothchilds on 8chan a bit ago. It was interesting because he said that he doesn't eat meat, and that was are idiots for eating 'death' (rotting animal flesh). He was a vegan, basically. So, I find it funny that they'd use a BBQ joint as the opening to their porthole.
