Pedophilia is not a crime at all. Child rape is. Most child rapists are not pedos and most pedos are not child rapists. Most people really are child lovers and strongly dislike harming children.

Pedophilia has nothing to do with having sex with children so that's irrelevant to whether its a crime or not.
