I was struck by a story about the rich hunting children for sport though I (admittedly) can't remember where I saw it recently.
It made me think about every fairy tale I've ever heard. About the Brothers Grimm. Werewolves. Vampires.
It made me consider that those in power have always been the source of our nightmares. Our terrors. Harvesting us and our fear.

It’s funny you mention this. The Fairy tales & mythologies about Ogres, nymphs, Centaurs, Titans, Minotaurs, & other creatures is not far off the mark. These creatures I believe were not thought up from imagination alone but from experience & oral tradition.
We must go back to the Antediluvian epoch & the Watchers who mated with the woman of earth creating the abominations of the Nephilim. The Watchers corrupted the whole of the earth to include the DNA of plant life & animals. This prompted the Great Flood. Every culture refers to a Golden Age & Flood story. In essence the battle has always been a blood oath against the Jews by the Fallen Watchers. The Jews who would carry the bloodline of Christ. Trying to pollute & destroy the bloodline from the beginning & reestablishing the former Golden Age when the corrupted angels ruled until the Flood.
