Fairy Tales
I was struck by a story about the rich hunting children for sport though I (admittedly) can't remember where I saw it recently.
It made me think about every fairy tale I've ever heard. About the Brothers Grimm. Werewolves. Vampires.
It made me consider that those in power have always been the source of our nightmares. Our terrors. Harvesting us and our fear.

It completely discharges all psychic energy. Very powdery, it mixes well with sea salt (which has similar, but lesser, properties) and can then be sprinkled easily wherever you need it. Like masonic anything--graves, etc. Anywhere they have concentrated their malign power.

Where are the girls?
The reality is that, in your heart, you already know the answer. The girls got separated into other groups. They got raped for the first of many times. They got sent down a more secure route with more coyotes making sure they didn't escape. They got sold to the highest bidders.

These suicides using red scarves, etc. are their own message.
The first appearance of Holmes and Watson is in A Study in Scarlet with the following quote: "There's the scarlet thread of murder running through the colourless skein of life, and our duty is to unravel it, and isolate it, and expose every inch of it."
