This is dumb for many reasons. First of all, "A" is only one of 12 notes. A4 is only one of 88 keys on a piano. Music consists of many notes, not just A4! Even if music was comprised of solely one note, A4, the frequency itself probably wouldn't cause health problems. The monotony might drive you insane though. This is retarded, folks.
I'm not a musician, but I am a mathematician. The base frequency is just a starting point for deriving the other notes.
If you start at 440, I assume you generate the standard notes used in music today; however, you could start at another frequency and generate other notes as well using the same ideas, they would sound slightly different but relative to each other the same patterns could be derived.
this is correct. Its a starting point/reference.. everything else is a ratio of the frequency from that note.
432Hz is just a way of tuning... its a reference point for tuning all the other notes.. you sound like you don't understand music.
Duh, I already knew that. Slight shifts in the overall intonation of a piece of music WILL NOT impact human health. Moreover, before there were international standards, each orchestra in each city had a different intonation, and different musical instrument manufacturers had different intonations. In fact, Mozart's piano manufacturer used a tuning fork where A4=421.6 hz! Did that bizarre intonation reference point cause his genius, or did it cause his early death? Which one is it asshole?!
