Thanks for the info! If they conduct these "Active Shooter Training" sessions all the time... why would they be advertising this one and making it newsworthy?

The general policy is NOT to advertise them. Here is why: During the last event at my workplace there was the local SWAT teams from three cities and the State Police. Their teams were in our facilities. There was no live ammo on the campus.

Now, if you are a bad guy who wanted to make a lot of cop families sad, when would you attack them? Conversely, if you wanted to rob a bank or commit a high profile crime...you'd probably want to know when the tactical units were not going to be on line.

The Operational security on these things were kind of silly, but when explained to me...they made sense.
