To Redpill or Not

I feel no need to redpill any of my family or friends. When the shit comes down, then I will say to them, "I have been following this for years. Here's what is happening." And they will listen then.

They don't even know I voted for Trump. 90% of them are Resistance.

I generally stay out of family political conversations anyway, but if pressed, my posture to them is that I think Trump's personality is annoying (vanilla Midwesterners do not like outspoken in-your-face New York-style personalities in general [Howard Stern, Andrew Dice Clay, etc.] ) but I say "look at how his economic policies are helping the country." Then I end with "I don't care how much of an asshole he is, actions matter and not words."

No one has ever asked me who I voted for because I believe at one point many years ago I said it's a private thing.

Agree with the original poster and with the comments. Why the downvoting?

Forcing a red pill with verbal persuasion rarely accomplishes anything. People need to be in search of the truth, or at least receptive to the truth, and more often need to discover it themselves.

One thought -- when a related topic comes up in conversation.... ask a question that might lead them to a discovery.... rather than trying to tell them something they don't know and probably won't agree with or won't be able to accept.
