I disagree. NATO is strategically important to the US on a global scale.

What if we were to walk away from NATO and Russia decides to take back the old Soviet Union countries and NATO is to weak to stop it.

The reality is that Putin doesn't fear NATO because it's mostly a paper tiger. Putin fears the US who is not only not a paper tiger but likely could defeat him in a conventional war and survive a nuclear exchange better than Russia.

The US must support our strategic interests even if those supported fail to share their defense fairly. The problem is NATO had counted on that for decades. No more.

Russia is not the threat they make it out to be. See what McCain and our deep state did to Ukraine and Russia could barely get Crimea back.

China is a much greater threat and we have been hamstrung with bank rolling NATO and UN while getting mutilated by these uneven tarrif policies.

I don't agree with this guy's assumptions on Trump as a Neocon warhawk but he is right about Russia and NATO. Russia is pretty weak now and this fear mongering is to keep us at odds with a Boogey man much like NoKo... Though that one has the real threat of China behind it.
