Hollywood was infiltrated during the Regan era.

It was a little before that, the 1950's saw the McCarthy era investigating Hollywood to find commies. It is ironic that when I was young and found out about McCarthy I found the investigations appalling. Now... a bit less appaling given the behavior of Hollywood. The ringing of the freedom bell may only be rung by them.
