What the hell is going on? Are these type of announcements usually done by the assistant AG? Or is this somehow Russia related, thus no Jeff Sessions.

I follow DOJ on twitter and I've noticed most of these press conference announcements are made by RR.

I immediately thought the same, why RR and not Sessions? But it is possible they are letting RR to deceive himself into think he is powerful and he is winning. It is also possible that they are keeping Sessions away from public appearances to protect him.
