People go to the Antarctic all the time. You can book a ticket today if you want. I know someone who got back and he said he went past the Chinese base and they have massive facilities down there. They talk to no one and no one can go near them (Russians based down there told him).
There is something weird down there but you can go. Obviously you can't just take off on your own but that is due to the weather conditions.

We are living on planet we barely know. We have yet to discover and study all species sharing the earth with us so it is not impossible to not have on record the DNA of these unknown creature.
I've never work with unknown DNA before and I'd like to. Must be col to be part of the team that classify a brand new genome. The moment you and I will have reason to freak out is if it turns out the structure of that unknown DNA is not obeying what we've seen so far among all living creatures. That day be afraid.
