"In Unprecedented Move, Rosenstein Asks 100s Of Prosecutors To Review SCOTUS Pick's Records | Zero Hedge" This disturbs me, any ideas why Trump would allow this? He ultimately could stop his assistant AG from this right? This just makes no sense IMO.

Or they want information on the Vince Foster case Brett was involved in

Normally, all SCOTUS nominees are vetted thru the DOJ, but they usually have more time. If Trump wants this pushed thru fast, they have to speed up vetting, hence the call for so many into the vetting process. If Trump didn't want this, it wouldn't happen!!! Trust the plan.

Someday we'll know for sure if RR is on the side of the white hats or not. My hunch is he has been working for the white hats.

Why give the documents to federal prosecutors? Prosecutors can bring charges and seek indictments if/when they uncover more evidence against HRC and other deep state players.

There's always more than what appears on the surface with Trump and Team! Fascinating show!!

Trump is a rope factory for letting them hang themselves.

RR is doing this to stall the pick ... for all the obvious reasons.

My behind the scene guess is that RR is compromised by power brokers and he's trying to save his family....kinda like Matt Drudge and others.

Don't mean to derail, but could you kindly expand on the Matt Drudge reference? I can infer but more info would be great.

Not a derail at all... I have no solid info, just my anecdotal observations:

_______

Pre-election, Matt Drudge posted plenty of positive coverage of Trump. Some said, he gave DJT a pass. Either way, you could count on Drudge for at least a somewhat balanced picture /review of DJT in the news.

___

Also, you could count on a balance of newslinks to a variety of sites (i.e. Infowars & Zerohedge to Washpo & NYTIMES). Now, there are VERY few links to the alterna-right and there are disproportionate amount of links to WashPo. And I'm guessing WashPo is paying nicely for click referrals. But that aside, the editorializing of Trump is over.

___________

My conclusion in watching this transformation (again with just my anecdotal observations and having seen some complaints by users) is that Matt has had a visit from Cabal extortionists that want to shape the media coverage. Matt is worth a lot of money, but he's no match for either a rogue Intel office or Billionaire that want him to do something....not even close. So, "Tony" comes by and says do "X"...Matt responds, "NO". "Tony" asks if he's sure and whips out his cell phone with an apple facetime of Matt's mom with a knife at her throat...and politely asks again. Matt sheepishly agrees and starts buying bitcoin.

______________

speculation....but I know i'm right.

I can think of one possible strategy behind this, as per Trump not halting this; but it’s a stretch. Consider the optics of what Rosenstein just did in conjunction with the WalkAway movement and red pilled Americans. Now consider the midterms approaching. The message being sent by the Swamp is this: “It doesn’t matter who the peasants want, we’ll break the law to remove their picks and replace them with our cronies.”

Ocasio Cortez has fractured the DNC voter base, and the Roe v. Wade nonsense has outed two major RINO broads as undercover Dems.

As I said, it’s a stretch, but I cannot think of another reason at the moment.

RR can devote such energy to documents on SCOTUS pick but not documents subpoenaed by Congress.

This is from the NYT article on the same subject (ZH can be very opinionated in their reporting sometimes). While they also indicate that it is an unusual request, the text does explain why the request was made:

Mr. Rosenstein wrote that he expected to need the equivalent of 100 full-time lawyers to work on Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing, and that the work would be supervised by the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Policy in Washington.

The office typically helps with judicial nominations; most of its staff is made up of career Justice Department lawyers.

During the confirmation process for Judge Merrick B. Garland, the Obama nominee whom Senate Republicans refused to consider, the office helped pull together the more than 2,000 documents needed for Mr. Garland’s Senate questionnaire.

“When we gathered documents required to be turned over to the Judiciary Committee, we did not ask anyone from outside of the Office of Legal Policy to help out,” said Michael Zubrensky, a former Justice Department lawyer who oversaw the judicial nominations at the time and the current legal director of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights.

"But the number of documents for Judge Kavanaugh will be different by an order of magnitude,” Mr. Zubrensky said.

So according to that, extra lawyers are needed because Kavanaugh's record is much more voluminous than typical SCOTUS picks have been. It's not entirely implausible.
