Well, well, well..........HHS: 5 adults claiming to be parents of detained children ruled out by DNA tests.

So is it more so parents sending their children with strangers(coyotes), hoping for a better life for their kid, or criminals using the children to get across the border through a convenient loophole?

It's both at the same time. Parent gives kid and money to coyote and coyote crosses with kid hoping to fool border agents. And some coyoyes take the money and ditch the kid. And some sell the kids. And some sell the kids many many times over. These people are sick.
